Description

A development of 73 housing units consisting of a mixture of 2 and 3 bedroom houses set out in a new estate in clusters of terraced bungalows and two-storey units. The project included roads and public utilities/services infrastructure together with a district heating system including a wood chip boiler. Soil stabilisation techniques were used to improve ground bearing capacity under the shallow strip foundations. This project was shortlisted for the 2009 Irish Council for Social Housing Awards in the integrated housing capacity.
