Description

This new state-of-the-art gymnasium facility was constructed within the confines of Stephen’s Barracks in Kilkenny. The structural centrepiece is a sports hall measuring 33m x 18m x 8m high. Two stories of ancillary gym related space adjoins the main hall. Acoustics and noise reduction in such a large open space were critical from the client’s perspective, and specialist acoustic hollow block was used above mid-height level of the wall panels in order to minimise sound reverberation throughout the hall.
