Description

Bru Chaoimhin is long established care centre for the elderly operated by the HSE. The campus contains several multi-storey residential nursing homes ranging from two to four storeys in height. Most of these buildings date from the Victorian or pre-Victorian era and are classified as Protected Structures. The principle structural elements which were repaired included timber floors, roof carcases, steel escape stairs and dilapidated brick/stone masonry walls. This project was procured under the Capital Works Management Framework using the GCCC Form of Contract.
